IPSJ – Political Dialogue, Engagement and Peace Building

IPSJ - Mae Sot Workshop

Fostering Trust and Peaceful Conflict Transformation

Sustainable peace in Myanmar cannot be achieved through military means alone—it requires trusted spaces for dialogue, mutual understanding, and collaborative problem-solving among diverse political and ethnic stakeholders. As an independent and non-partisan convener, IPSJ facilitates sensitive political and inter-ethnic dialogues that few organizations are positioned to undertake, bringing together resistance actors, political groups, civil society, and emerging governance structures.

IPSJ’s peacebuilding work extends from high-level political engagement to community-based conflict management and capacity development in peaceful conflict transformation. Through dialogue facilitation, conflict analysis and mapping, training programs, and the development of practical compromise frameworks, IPSJ supports stakeholders in resolving inter- and intra-ethnic disputes peacefully. By strengthening a culture of dialogue, trust, and cooperation across multiple levels, IPSJ contributes to the social cohesion and governance practices essential for Myanmar’s federal democratic transition.
