Reclaiming Civic Space and Empowering the \u201cImmune System\u201d of Society<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

IPSJ works to promote democratic governance and protect fundamental human rights amid Myanmar\u2019s ongoing political crisis. For over a decade, we have supported democracy advocates, civil society leaders, youth, and activists to understand, claim, and defend their rights through civic education, advocacy, and institutional engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our programs respond to shrinking civic space by equipping communities with the knowledge and tools needed to participate meaningfully in democratic processes and resist authoritarian control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through intensive online and hybrid training programs, study groups, book clubs, panel discussions, and alumni networks, IPSJ nurtures a culture of continuous learning and civic engagement that sustains Myanmar\u2019s democratic movement even under the most challenging conditions. We view an informed and organized civil society as the \u201cimmune system\u201d of democracy\u2014essential for sustaining democratic values and holding institutions accountable. By prioritizing women, youth, and marginalized communities, IPSJ helps build a resilient civic culture capable of shaping Myanmar\u2019s federal democratic future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
